Charters Creek
Charters Creek on the Western shores of Lake St Lucia is a firm favourite with anglers and birdwatchers who enjoy the old world simplicity and peacefulness of the camp's lake side setting.
Set on a bluff looking eastwards over the lake St Lucia, a World Heritage Site, the camp is an ideal base for bird watching and provides opportunities to view terrestrial forest birds as well as a variety of aquatic birds, both fresh water and marine.
Charters Creek is ideally situated in relation to other wildlife activities in the area and is approximately an hours drive from the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park, Mkhuze and St Lucia Estuary.
Charters Creek offers basic conference facilities that can accommodate 30 delegates in surrounds that relax the spirit and sharpen the mind.
Nearby attractions include Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, Mkhuze Game Reserve and the St Lucia Estuary, each an hour's drive away.

Extra Information
Due to the presence of elephants on the western shores of Lake St Lucia the self guided trails are no longer available to the public due to safety considerations.

- Charters Creek is in a malaria area and special precautions are necessary.
- The nearest town which has a full range of services is Mtubatuba - 40 kms away.
- Pets are not permitted into the reserve.
